Multnomah County, Oregon (Portland, OR) – On December 8, 2023, after an incident that killed one of his relatives and badly injured another, a teenage driver was charged with manslaughter in Portland, OR.
According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, the driver, later identified as Jesse Granados-Villegas, was speeding before losing control on a curve on SW River Road at SW Farmington Road. The vehicle flipped over and smashed through a chain link fence.
One relative was killed on the spot. The other was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment of “severe injuries,” according to officials. Their names, ages and exact links to Granados-Villegas were not disclosed.
The 19-year-old was put into the Washington County Jail for manslaughter, reckless driving, and driving while high on marijuana. The crash is still being investigated.
