Orange County, California (Santa Ana, CA) – On February 26, 2026, three people were injured in a late-night multi-vehicle collision in Santa Ana, CA.
Officers with the California Highway Patrol responded to reports of a multi-vehicle crash on the southbound Interstate 5 at the 4th Street off-ramp at approximately 11:39 p.m. Upon arrival, authorities discovered at least three vehicles involved in the collision, including one that had overturned. The occupants of the overturned vehicle were able to exit safely before emergency crews reached the scene.
Firefighters and paramedics evaluated those involved in the crash. Two individuals were transported to Orange County Global Medical Center with minor injuries. A third person later asked to be reexamined for back pain after crews had cleared the area, prompting responders to return. It remains unclear whether that individual required hospitalization.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
