Los Angeles County, California (Bel-Air, CA) – On September 21, 2023, two southbound lanes of the 405 Freeway through Sepulveda Pass were closed following a fatal incident when a big truck and a Volkswagen Beetle collided in Bel Air, CA.
According to a CHP spokeswoman, at 4:42 a.m., the California Highway Patrol was dispatched. CHP officers responded to the southbound San Diego 405 road near North Mulholland Drive, where they discovered the automobiles on the side of the road with significant damage.
The victim, whose identity, gender and age were not revealed, was declared dead on the spot. The incident shut down all southbound lanes of the motorway as the CHP investigated.
After nearly an hour, several lanes were reopened.
