San Diego County, California (San Diego, CA) – On Sunday, March 5, 2023, two vehicles were involved in a car crash in San Diego, on Chollas View’s Market Street in San Diego, CA.
One person passed away in the accident. At 1 in the afternoon, the victim, 63-year-old Fidel Gallardo of Lemon Grove was in his 1993 Nissan Maxima, traveling westbound. He suddenly allegedly veered into the oncoming traffic on the eastbound lane and crashed into a 2018 Lexus RX 350 SUV. Three people were injured following the crash and were trapped in the two vehicles involved.
Fidel Gallardo sustained major injuries and paramedics were able to take him to Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego following the crash, but he later passed away at 1:45 PM, according to a report by the San Diego ME. Details about the Lexus’ 61-year-old driver and the vehicle’s passenger have not been released yet, and investigators are still working on the case with the San Diego Police Department.
They are trying to determine who is at fault in the accident in Chollas View.
