Dalles, Oregon (OR) – On February 16, 2026, two Oregon State Troopers injured in a Crash Involving Commercial Trucks in Dalles, OR.
The crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. near Exit 87, at the top of the I-84 on-ramp along Highway 197 just north of the freeway. Authorities say an Oregon State Police Fish & Wildlife K-9 unit vehicle was involved in the incident along with an unloaded log truck and a semi-truck pulling a trailer.
Both troopers and one of the truck drivers were transported to nearby medical facilities for evaluation and treatment. The police K-9 and the second commercial driver were not injured.
Highway 197 at Bret Clodfelter Way was shut down for several hours Monday and is expected to reopen later in the evening.
