Linn County, Oregon (OR) – On July 31, 2023, at about 8:00 A.M., the Oregon State Police responded to a collision between a car and a bicycle on Highway 20, near milepost 6 in Linn County, OR.
Based on the initial investigation, it appears that a 34-year-old man named Brenden Dwyer from Ontario, Oregon was riding his bicycle when he collided with a 53-year-old woman named Jamie Rowden from Dallas, Oregon. Rowden was driving a westbound Kenworth CMV, which was an empty log truck. The collision occurred in the westbound lane of Highway 20.
A person named Dwyer was discovered deceased at the location due to severe injuries sustained from the collision. As a result of the incident, Highway 20 was closed for approximately two hours to investigate the scene. Rowden stayed at the location and assisted the detectives. The Linn County Sheriff’s Office, ODOT, and Fisher Funeral Home all aided the OSP during the investigation.
Once the investigation is complete, the Linn County District Attorney will be consulted. The investigation is currently ongoing.
