Marion County, Oregon – Luis Morales-Ramirez (37) of Gervais was fatally injured Tuesday, June 9th, 2020 following a head-on car accident on HWY 99E milepost 36, near Gervais Oregon.
Around 5PM a Dodge Ram 2500, driven by Angel Hernandez-Cruz (33) of Mt. Angel, was northbound on Hwy 99E when his Dodge lost control and struck a Nissan pickup driven by Luis Morales-Ramirez.
Morales-Ramirez sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Hernandez-Cruz was transported to the Marion County Jail where he was lodged on charges of Manslaughter, Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants (DUII), and Driving While Suspended-Misdemeanor.
Hwy 99E was closed for approximately 4.5 hours.
